A new TigerTurf WETT pitch is currently being installed at Auckland Hockey’s Lloyd Elsmore Park.  Over the last couple of days the old surface has been lifted and removed from site.  A little bit of remedial work is required to the base then the laying of the new WETT surface will begin - ready for play 17th January 2011.

North Harbour Hockey is replacing the fourth Hockey field at North Harbour Stadium. The current field was laid by TigerTurf (formerly Astrograss) 22 years ago and is being upgraded to TigerTurf’s WETT Dressed surface. Over the past few days the old turf and rubber have removed and base remedial work is underway. We’ll keep you posted on progress.

Even though it’s had some patching and upgrading - 22 years is a significant length of time for a high use Hockey pitch.  Testament to top quality product and commitment to keeping the field well maintained.
